Kobo Warehouse

Delete your account

How to have your Kobo Warehouse account and personal details erased.

You can ask for your Kobo Warehouse account to be deleted, and for the personal details held in it to be erased. There are two ways to do it.

From inside the app

This is the quickest route, and the one to use if you still have the app installed and can sign in.

  1. Open Kobo Warehouse and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete my account under Account.
  3. Read what will happen, then confirm.

Your account is deactivated the moment you confirm, and you are signed out of every device. The app gives you a cancellation link — keep it if there is any chance you will change your mind.

By form, here

Use this if you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in. Because this page cannot prove who you are, a request made here is passed to an administrator at your organisation rather than acted on automatically.

You do not have to give a reason.

What happens to your data

Erased permanently — your name, email address, username, phone number, avatar and password, along with your access to every store and any notifications addressed to you.

Kept — the stock requests, shipments, adjustments and stock movements you were involved in. Your employer is required to keep those records, so they stay, but they no longer carry your name: they are attributed to a deleted user and cannot be traced back to you.

The timing — a request raised in the app deactivates the account at once and erases the personal details 30 days later. That gap exists so a request made by accident can be undone. A request raised on this form waits for an administrator, so nothing happens to your account until one acts on it.

Changed your mind?

If you have the cancellation link the app gave you, open it and your account comes back exactly as it was. You can also enter the cancellation code here. Once the 30 days have run out there is nothing left to restore.
